In 2020, the CHU (University Hospital) of Reims launched a vast investment plan to modernise its infrastructure.

The aim of this ambitious property project is to prepare the hospital for the major healthcare challenges of the coming decades, by meeting the growing expectations of patients and healthcare professionals. It includes an expansion of outpatient care, a significant improvement in accommodation conditions and a working environment that is better adapted to medical innovations.

Portalp was commissioned to develop and integrate automated access and associated access control systems tailored to customer requirements. The challenges encountered were particularly adapting to these particularly demanding customer requirements. Our solutions had to be modified to go well beyond the usual regulatory standards, in particular to adapt to the different operating modes of the CHU and the specific tools it uses.

These efforts were crucial in guaranteeing a secure and functional environment, in line with the university hospital’s ambitions for innovation.
